I have an MSc Health Rehabilitation and Exercise with several years’ experience as a Level 4 GP referral instructor; I offer rehabilitation using InterX therapy and functional fitness to regain mobility. InterX is a medical device that uses pulsing electrical stimulation with biofeedback for relief of acute and chronic pain.
I also offer GP referral exercise packages with a specialisation in muscular skeletal injury. I have a special interest in osteoarthritis and self-management in coping with arthritis. This is due in part to having bi lateral osteoarthritis myself for 21 years and having to undergo a hip resurfacing in 2006 due to my service with the Royal Marines.
I have previous experience working with athletes as a personal trainer and a sports lecturer at college and university. I have researched the benefits of exercise and osteoarthritis and my MSc Dissertation research was “To assess the impact of a six week exercise intervention and self-management programme on subjects with knee and hip osteoarthritis for mobility and pain perception” The results post six weeks resulted in a decrease in pain by 20% and an increase in mobility by 30% both statistically significant (p= < 0.01). I first used interX therapy for my own pain management and after training with Dr Zulia Frost I have helped a huge amount of patients by removing pain to aid in functional mobility and improve their quality of life.

Since an early age, I have searched for and discovered alternative ways to overcome a variety of health issues following my frustration with the inadequacies of modern medicine. Over the years, this has resulted in a keen understanding of how to guide people in their own hours of need.
I have a special interest in all kinds of arthritis, i.e. osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, gout, polymyalgia rheumatica and so on, but alongside these diseases people often have associated problems such as high blood pressure, low blood pressure, digestive disorders, circulatory disorders, asthma, eczema, psoriasis, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal dysfunction, parasites, etc. which all need to be addressed in order to regain health.
Just a few cases that have influenced me are given here:
My mother, recovered after 15 years of debilitating osteo and rheumatoid arthritis when her specialist was unable to help her. She had been very poorly - a very bad case - with deformities to her fingers and in great pain, swellings and stiffness everywhere - even her jaw which meant that sometimes she was unable to eat. Her own research led her to change her diet and introduce naturopathic baths and so on which brought about a speedy improvement.
Previously in good health, my sister had pneumonia in both lungs following a vaccination; she would turn blue from lack of oxygen; only 3 years old. IV antibiotics proved unsuccessful and she was fading rapidly, aged 3; there was nothing left to do. Discharging her from hospital, we consulted a naturopath whose careful guidance set her on the path to health once more.
As for myself, I had no further urinary tract infections once I fasted for 5 days, having had repetitive episodes for years and many courses of antibiotics. They worked initially but not for long.
My daughter recovered from Juvenile Arthritis aged 8. Discovering and addressing the cause was an important factor in her recovery.
Whatever health challenge presents itself, I research and seek the most effective way forward, normally with great results. Health is so precious. Good health is real wealth - without it, it is hard to enjoy life.
Having trained as a Nutritional Medicine practitioner, I use diet, nutritional supplements where necessary and appropriate lifestyle changes with my patients. I have found InterX therapy to be an excellent tool to speed relief from painful and debilitating symptoms, and I incorporated it into my practice many years ago, having used Scenar therapy since 1996, and it is the one tool which I would not like to be without! In the last few years I also added Low Level Laser light therapy and sometimes use light and InterX therapy at the same time.

I see people with chronic conditions mostly rather than sports injuries or some other acute injury. So first of all, I need some information about the person. I ask for a questionnaire to be completed initially with as full a medical history as you can recall. Current symptoms, current medications, diagnoses, etc., are considered in the light of what went before. I then determine how best I can help and discuss this with you if you are present during the consultation or write to you with my suggestions if you are unable to attend. Generally this involves dietary and nutrition advice, possibly with naturopathic techniques too in order to help improve as quickly as possible from what is often a chronic condition.
Once the patient is committed and working on their own behalf, I offer InterX therapy to speed up their improvement. This has been a highly successful approach for most people with chronic conditions so that treatments with InterX can be spread further apart than usual, which means that costs are kept as low as possible and within the reach of people who may be unable to work due to their condition.
